Our Factory

Dixon products are produced in a 274,000 square foot factory located on 25 acres in Beatrice, Nebraska. This state-of-the-art facility was built in 2004 with the customer in mind and features all the latest technologies to ensure that we provide premium outdoor power equipment to our customers.

Philosophy & Layout

Lean manufacturing serves as the guiding principle and model for all operations throughout the factory. The plant layout is a “U shape” to optimize material flow throughout the facility. Husqvarna has chosen to focus on its core competencies:

• Fabricating
• Welding
• Painting
• Assembly

Automation & Technology

The powder coat paint system uses state-of-the-art “Light Curtain” technology and smart system capabilities for efficient application of powder by profiling each part as it moves through the booth.

In an effort to modernize and continuously improve quality control, the factory invested in the latest robotic welding automation. Robots consistently do the same moves with the same gun angles and welding parameters decreasing welding time and welding splatter and producing consistent top quality results.

Research, Development & Training

An auditorium style training center offers a superior space for hands-on training on the equipment for our customers and employees. Our engineering department boasts a 10,800 square foot testing lab for on-going research and development to keep on top of customer demands and industry technology.
